Early Intervention

Early Intervention builds upon and provides supports and resources to assist family members and caregivers to enhance children’s learning and development through everyday learning opportunities.

Early Intervention (EI) can help in many ways by:

• Listening to your family’s concerns

• Evaluating your child to determine their needs

• Informing you about a wide variety of resources for your family

• Working together with you as a team to create a plan to best serve your child

• Providing a Developmental Specialist to work with your family in your home

• Helping you access developmental services such as physical, occupational and speech therapy

• Adding to your knowledge about child development and ways to help your child

• Offering opportunities for you to meet other families with similar interests
