The purpose of the Ashtabula County Board of Developmental Disabilities school age services is to provide comprehensive educational services to enrolled school age children in collaboration with their local school district.
The school age program serves students from 6 to 21 years of age who have multiple disabilities. This program emphasizes functional life skills, communication, social, and pre-vocational skills. All students’ educational programs are individually designed and written by the IEP team. The students’ individual needs are discussed and goals are written to address academics, daily living, socialization, vocational and leisure skills.
