Ashtabula County Board of Developmental Disabilities

13 year old male, living with his parents in Jefferson, is in need of HPC staff and HPC transportation. Hours are Monday-Friday (5:30am-6:45am and 2:30pm-7pm) and Saturdays and Sundays (7am-7pm). There will be a need for some coverage throughout the school year on off days from 5:30am-4:30pm. Summertime hours (June 3rd-mid August) will be 5:30am-4:30pm. He can be aggressive, typically with Mom. He has no sense of fear and he is non-verbal. He needs support in the home, cooking meals, helping with his laundry, bathing, wiping after using the toilet and going into the community so he can socialize.  When he becomes aggressive, he goes to his room for alone time. He loves to watch his tablet and to play on a vibrating platform. He loves to swim and has a fondness for heights. It is important to him to have his tablet, to have multiple food choices when he gets home from school and to spend time outside. He must be supervised as he has no fear. He needs encouragement to go to school in the morning and support while out in the community.  He is unable to respond to emergencies and will need help.
