Ashtabula County Board of Developmental Disabilities

 

 

Male, aged 12 years, living in Ashtabula, locally funded, is in need of services of about 10 hours a week. The schedule will be coordinated with Mom for days and times. He has a history of eloping but only to a neighbor’s house where he entered the home and stole a lightbulb. He is curious and likes to take things apart. He has set fires by leaving food in too long to cook in the microwave and by taking his phone apart.  He can be physically aggressive (hitting things and other people) but it’s typically against Mom. He needs people to speak to and redirect him in a calm voice. He needs someone to engage him in fun activities and to give him reminders to use the bathroom. He will not use the bathroom in public. Speech is minimal. VIsual supervision at all time inside and close/constant outside the home and in the community. He needs to be kept engaged in activities that he likes to do and likes help with cooking. Start date is ASAP.
