Ashtabula County Board of Developmental Disabilities

Male, living in Andover, is looking for HPC services Wednesdays (7am-3pm), Thursdays (7am-10am) and Fridays (7am-10am). He has a cecostomy tube and staff need to be certified. There is a seizure protocol in place. He will need transportation to and from medical appointments, help with medication and reminders to complete hygiene tasks as well as help with chores around the house, laundry and community inclusion.  He will need  help with grocery shopping as well. On Thursdays and Fridays, staff will need to transport him to his day program in Dorset.  They will ensure that his rights are protected and that they allow him to express himself.  He communicates verbally and staff will need to speak to him in a calm manner. He wants to be heard by others. He can be alone for several hours with remote supports in place. It is important to him to have a purpose in life, to be out in the community and be able to do the things he likes such as breeding mealworms, fishing and playing on his computer. He has a dog. The desired start date is 7/30/2025.
