About COVID-19
COVID-19 is a virus spread from person to person. Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath, and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure, and even death.

How to Prepare Your Home
If surfaces are dirty, they should be cleaned using a detergent and water prior to disinfection. Click here for a list of disinfectant products with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-approved emerging viral pathogens claims, maintained by the American Chemistry Council Center for Biocide Chemistries (CBC). Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for all cleaning and disinfection products.

Cancellations

Due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic and our focus on the health and safety of our athletes, families, volunteers, and our entire community Special Olympics Ohio has extended the suspension of sports training and competition, including the State Summer Games, through 6 July 2020. If you have questions please call 440-536-7490

All face to face home and day site visits as well as meetings (Individual Family Support Plan, Individual Education Plan, and Individual Service Plan meetings included) are temporarily suspended in order to protect the health and safety of all involved. This is applicable to supports we provide for early intervention, service and support administration, provider compliance and support, and RNQA visits. We will be using tele-visits, tele-meetings or phone consultations.

We have cancelled all extra-curricular activities, which includes early intervention playgroups and self-advocacy meetings.

Ashtabula County Board of Developmental Disabilities has cancelled all in person governance meetings. Until further notice, governance meetings will be held via zoom with public participation. The monthly governance meetings are scheduled the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m. Please refer to our Facebook page for further information.
